When used regularly honey can work wonders for your skin & hair. Honey acts as a great anti-aging agent as well as a moisturizer. It is rich in natural antioxidants that have anti-microbial properties that is perfect for aging skin. It is known that ancient women used honey to keep the skin youthful, radiant and smooth.
Honey is known as a humectant. A humectant attracts moisture and keeps moisture locked in the skin. Using a honey based facial mask or soap proves beneficial to areas of skin that tend to become dry or itchy because it seals moisture to these areas. Honey can help your skin retain moisture and elasticity without drying it out. It clarifies the skin by opening up and unclogging pores.
To add shine and clarity to your hair a honey mask is the perfect remedy. Mix some honey and olive oil together and apply to hair. Cover with cap if desired & leave on for about 30 minutes then wash the mixture out. You will see & feel such an amazing difference.

Sometimes we get so busy we forget to treat ourselves to a much-needed pampering facial. Well here’s a very easy recipe you can create with items from your kitchen.
What you will need: 2-3 fresh strawberries-1 tablespoon honey
In a bowl, mash the strawberries until smooth. Add the honey and mix together. Use clean hands or a sanitized makeup brush to apply the mixture over your face avoiding the eye area. If you have any extra mask left apply to your neck area. Sit back and relax with the mask on your face for 15-30 minutes. (Longer if you have time) Wash the mask off with warm water. Use this mask once or twice a week.
*Bonus* If you want gentle exfoliation add about two teaspoons of brown sugar to your mixture.
